With a SIM/GPRS connection, FlexTor units can be managed from your own software: decide who is authorised on each vehicle, set geofences, and start or stop vehicles without being there.
A fingerprint on the ignition means a stolen or copied key alone will not start the vehicle. On connected units, geofencing and remote stop cover what happens next: you know when a vehicle leaves the area it belongs in, and you can act on it from where you are.
The API is for fleet operators, telematics providers and integrators who want FlexTor units managed from their own platform, alongside the vehicles and drivers they already track.
Units without a SIM still have the serial output, which passes the authenticated driver identity to an existing telematics unit. You can mix both in one fleet.
